			<title><![CDATA[ pregnancies over 40? ]]></title>

			<description><![CDATA[ I am 40 and considering another child (ds is almost 6 - semi-normal preg with high BP, normal midwife birth). My partner is SO pro-hospital, so unless I do a
free-birth (if I get preg), I will end up in a stinking hospital. I will plan on hiring a doula that dr.s won&#39;t want to go up against.

Anyway, any words of wisdom? I guess I just need a positive story to help me along, to think positive. Thanks!

Waters broke at home early friday morning and we labored here until the very.......last.......minute!  We went to the hospital in the very end there.  When I
arrived there I fully dilated &amp; efaced.  He was out after 3 contractions!  Awesome!

about a home birth after the 3csecs that i had.  I am really hoping to break out of this crazy cycle.

option, either because of an undeniable gut fealing or fear or simply what you want isn&#39;t available, midwife drops you, no v-bac policy for 3 hours drive,
etc.  (Nawny?) So how do you deal with it?

I can&#39;t really remember everything they do at a hosp., but here&#39;s a go:
<br>
- no checking dialation
<br>
- check fetal heart tones ext. without having to get on bed
<br>
- no constant fetal monitoring
<br>
- freedom to walk around during labor, including outside
<br>
- no edema (is that what it is called when they give you something to give you diareah?)
<br>
- no laying, sitting, or even getting on bed unless mother feals like it.... ]]></description>
